Andy Warhol’s Relation to Pop Art

February 12th, 2012

Some of the most famous andy warhol paintings form the foundation of an art movement known as pop art. Pop art traces its origins to the 1950s and was developing concurrently in the United Kingdom and the United States. Paintings inspired by this art movement generally have more of an “advertisement feel” to them. In fact, many of them are indeed advertisements, such as the Campbell’s Soup Cans work by Warhol. Items featured in this sort of art are more popular amongst common folk as opposed to more aristocratic themes in other types of work. Messages of irony and banality are also characteristic of pop art works. There are also themes of inconsistency within a single piece of artwork itself, items that are seemingly unrelated are posed next to each other that can tend to be confusing to art aficionados. Pop art definitely appeals to a different sort of viewer and works of this kind tend to find more of a place hanging in a home as opposed to a museum.

Finding Music News That is Factual

January 19th, 2012

Beyond the Sea...☆ live K tour 2007-Music in My life- @羽生I am always reading about political news, robberies, shootings, kidnappings but what I want is some factual Music News. Music is an important part of society these days and not having had a go to place to catch up irritates me a little bit. I have finally found a site that gives up to day news on the people in the music world. I really do not care to hear about the bad things they do or even the good things they do. I am more interested in how well their music is doing in the world, how they compare to the old time greats and where they are predicted to be on the charts in the next few years. There have been some really good ones in my time and there are a few, yet rare, good musicians today. Without music in my life, my life would be incomplete. Having the knowledge on what is new and who is coming out with what is nice for me. I am sure other people feel the same way.

A Truly Portable Digital Piano

January 18th, 2012

I didn’t want a regular digital piano. People talk about how portable they are, but they aren’t truly portable. I was looking for an actually portable digital piano so I did a lot of research. After reading a ton of digital piano reviews, I learned of the Yamaha NP30. Now, that’s portable.

Let me tell you why most digital pianos aren’t truly portable. I can only play them near an outlet. I need to plug them into an outlet for them to work. Otherwise, they create no sound whatsoever. Even worse, if I travel out of the country, I can’t use the digital piano at all because the outlets in other countries are different.

Meanwhile, the Yamaha NP30 is perfectly fine wherever you may be. It does use a plug to charge it, but it also runs on batteries. You have both options so you could actually just put in some AA batteries and play the digital piano anywhere. I mean literally anywhere.

I’m glad I found those reviews too. I was about to lose hope, but I finally found the digital piano I wanted. I finally found something that is universally portable.
